  • Executive functioning (Improved focus and concentration, planning, problem solving and following instructions)

  • Fine and gross motor development

  • Safety awareness

  • Confidence and resilience

  • Self-esteem and overall wellbeing

  • School readiness

  • Independence

  •  Support coping with transitions and changes such as starting school, moving etc.

Nurture Intervention work closely with families to develop meaningful individual plans and goals.

Through psychoeducation, emotional support, advocacy and resource sharing with families, we aim to help them better understand their child’s needs, learn effective strategies for improved behaviour management, and in supporting difficulties in social interactions, self-regulation, and emotional expression.

Speech and Occupational Therapy

We offer a collaborative model where highly experienced Speech Pathologists and Occupational Therapists provide Telehealth-based assessment,  planning and ongoing clinical guidance, while our Early Intervention Specialists and Special Education Teachers implement these intervention plans face-to-face with your child.

This ensures your child can receive the high quality support they deserve, with a clinician they trust and without the ongoing waitlists.

Nurture Intervention understand the impact that education and care settings alongside the home have, as this is where children spend a large amount of their time. To ensure we are able to provide insightful support across all environments the child accesses, we are able to provide support in:

  • Home

  • Formal Education and Care settings (school, preschool, early learning centre)

  • In the Community

This ensures that support extends beyond any individual therapy session and supports progress towards meaningful goals through the creation of consistent and supportive environments where ever the child may be.

Through transdisciplinary collaboration between the family, and external stakeholders such as other therapists, education providers, and other services, our mission it to provide a comprehensive support network where sharing insight, strategies and progress ensures that everyone is working together to support the child’s best interests in meeting their needs and goals, to promote better consistency and outcomes.

A key worker is an early childhood intervention professional who becomes the main, consistent person working alongside the child/family/carer to support a child’s progress towards their early intervention goals. Key workers practice from a strengths-based, family-centred perspective. Key workers can assist in a multitude of areas including but not limited to:

  • Providing you and your child with consistent advice, strategies and emotional support tailored to your individual needs

  • Coordination of seamless multidisciplinary and transdisciplinary therapies, acting as the primary point of contact and liaison between therapists, support providers, home and education and care providers

  • Collaboration with the wider therapy and team involved in supporting your child, integrating strategies from all involved, across the environments your child may access

  • Assistance in navigating the NDIS early intervention approach, accessing resources and advocating for your child â€‹â€‹

The Key Worker approach is currently endorsed by the National guidelines for Best Practice in Early Intervention.
