About

Nurture Intervention

Supporting Children and Families

Nurture Intervention provides individualised early intervention support for children and families on the Central Coast, NSW.

Our approach focuses on supporting children to develop the skills they need to participate confidently in everyday life. Through play-based, relationship-focused sessions, we support each child’s holistic development across behavioural, cognitive, emotional, and social domains, while also fostering inclusion and participation in their everyday environments.

Every child develops at their own pace.  At Nurture Intervention, we aim to create a supportive environment where children feel safe, engaged and encouraged as they build new skills.

We work closely with families to ensure that support is meaningful, practical and tailored to each child’s unique strengths and needs.

Our Approach

Supporting Meaningful Development

Early intervention  plays an important role in supporting children during key stages of development.

Nurture Intervention supports children who may be experiencing challenges in various domains of their development

Through collaborative goal setting and thoughtful, play-based intervention, we aim to help children build the skills they need to participate more comfortably and confidently in everyday life.

At Nurture Intervention, our practice is guided by a number of key principles.

Play-Based Learning

Children learn best through play. Sessions use engaging, meaningful activities to work towards the child's identified goals.

Relationship-Focused

Strong relationships form the foundation for learning. Building trust and connection helps children feel safe and confident to explore new skills.

Neuroaffirming Practice

We recognise and respect neurodiversity and aim to support children in ways that honour their individual strengths, differences and ways of experiencing the world.

Collaborative Support

Families and educators play a vital role in a child’s development. We work closely with parents, caregivers and wider professionals to ensure strategies are consistent and supportive across environments.

Nurture Intervention was founded by Sophie, an early intervention practitioner passionate about supporting children and families through insightful, compassionate practice.

Sophie is an experienced Early Intervention Practitioner with over 8 years of experience working in early childhood intervention, multidisciplinary allied health settings and paediatric specialist positive behaviour support.
